Why isn't George Santos in jail?

He is such a buffoon and such a liar. you can't lie to the American public about everything and then get in office and then when we find out it is a lie.....he is still around and out still making up more lies. at least put him away where he won't hurt anyone

Take out the name, and that could describe almost anyone in the GOP 🤷‍♂️
@Zaphod42 As well as numerous dems too, both parties are corrupt.
Zaphod42 · 46-50, M
@NativePortlander1970 Fair enough, but from my view one party has far more corruption than the other.
@Zaphod42 With me they're both equal, left wing, right wing, they both lift up the same corrupt bird, their main donors being wall street banks and corporations. The duopoly keeos us all fighting to keep our eyes off them so they all can do their secret back room deals, it's all nothing but smoke and mirrors. Hell, even AOC has now gotten into the game, once you taste that money from political wheeling and dealing, it's all over.

Lying politicians seem to be totally accepted now. When someone who is in charge lies thousands of times during his term it sends a signal to everyone else that it is okay

Republican politicians don't go to jail.

Speaker Dennis Hastert did after leaving office. For molesting children years before.

True story

He's my elected official
Albeit, I didn't vote for him...actually, I didn't vote in that election. Normally, I walk to the poling station which is approximately a quarter mile away from where I live. Last election night, when I got home...it was seasonably cold that night...and quite frankly, I was not in the mood to walk in the cold.
I so, prefer hot weather to cold.
@Ferric67 would you have elected him?
Ferric67 · M
@LILY61 I don't even remember who was running against him. Truth be told I was uninterested in that election as a whole....and the cold weather made it a convenient excuse not to go.
I have much more interest in this election because someone I know is running (albeit not in my district). This dude is super qualified to lead people. While at Princeton he was a two term school president....and nobody serves more than one term there.

He's no different from any other politician. As long as he isn't under oath or talking to a police officer, lying is protected by the first amendment.
@adhane05 but everything he says is a lie. he lied to get the job
adhane05 · 31-35, M
@LILY61 I don't believe there is a single politician in history has not lied to gain power.
He's rich and powerful. He's above the law in Capitalist America.
thisguy20 · 41-45, M
@BohemianBoo Sadly that is a true statement
DunningKruger · 61-69, M
The wheels of justice turn slowly, but inexorably.
Bumbles · 51-55, M
He’s facing criminal charges.
@Bumbles taking long enough
ChipmunkErnie · 70-79, M
Possibly because he'd first have to be charged with a crime and then found guilty?
@ChipmunkErnie yes, but he is walking around still spinning his tales. he hasn't slowed his behavior at all. and he is in the news every day
Are you kidding? His fellow Congresspeople probably want to give him a medal.
