Justmeraeagain · 56-60, F
I use a topical gel biofreeze that helps and sometimes I take Ibuprofen.
I have had a back pain since I was a young woman.
Dan193 · 31-35, M
@Justmeraeagain oh yeah biofreeze with a good massage
I lay down on the ground after carrying my 6 month old. And he was big when he was born he was born 10 pounds 1 ounce my husband is over six feet tall so that could be why.

Sleeping on side in somewhat fetal position helps some. I take gabapentin and take a half dose of Painquil Honey now and then. Aspirin. It hurts most of the time
AthrillatheHunt · 51-55, M
Daily stretches including planks and yoga poses. I also keep my weight under 220.

AthrillatheHunt · 51-55, M
@Alyosha when I throw out my back I have to sleep on my back w a pillow under my knees
Alyosha · 36-40, M
@AthrillatheHunt Ouch. I've done the elevating your legs trick. If I'm on a solid enough surface, it helps.
Perry1968 · M
Keeping lower back muscles strong. When better do things like supermans. Rear delt exercises.
Dan193 · 31-35, M
@Perry1968 Nice. The superman exercise, do you just hold it for minutes, or u have to raise your extremities and do like 10, then another 10,etc?
Perry1968 · M
@Dan193 Like any exercise if your just starting then just raise 1 arm and 1 leg diagonal to eachother to start. Progressing to both arms and legs raised with a very temporary pause at the top. Thats what i did abyway.
Dan193 · 31-35, M
@Perry1968 That's very visually descriptive. Thanks 👍

ShenaniganFoodie · 36-40, M
@sarabee1995 🤮 change to Shotokan
sarabee1995 · 26-30, F
@ShenaniganFoodie My style may be taekwondo and my tradition may be Korean, but it is martial arts that I study.

Shotokan is an interesting twist on karate, but as a woman, my legs are far more powerful and effective as weapons than my hands. Karate's emphasis on "The Hand" does not serve me well.
Core strength to help support your upper body and less stress on the spine.
