Is There Anything You're Afraid You Wont Accomplish?

Tumbleweed · F
I actually did accomplish what scared me the most ~ living alone and being completely independant. 🙂
Primnproper · 56-60, F
@Tumbleweed well done you! 👏👏
Tumbleweed · F
@Primnproper thank you! 🫂
Unfortunately that ship has sailed and there are many things I know I won’t accomplish.
Primnproper · 56-60, F
@OlderSometimesWiser i understand..my husband has severe depression and social anxiety..he never leaves our house.
@Primnproper I’m very sorry to hear that. Depression is not only painful for the afflicted but their loved ones as well. In my case, I’d say a fair percentage of the depression comes from knowing how much pain I’ve caused my family. One of my greatest regrets is that my mom, who never gave up on me, didn’t live to see any meaningful improvement in my life. Depression, which has robbed me of so much, remains my constant companion.
Primnproper · 56-60, F
@OlderSometimesWiser totally understand that..you can only do your best one day at a time..
ABCDEF7 · M
Not actually afraid, because I think expectations don't bring the results, it only brings pain, stress and disappointment.

If you know you are on the right track and doing your best and in the right way. It is what can give you true satisfaction. Satisfaction is more important than success.

Yes. I want to see a few places in the world and I'm afraid that I won't accomplish it because by the time I get there they will be ruined or my health condition will be too bad to do some more challenging hiking trails. I mean, I'm okay now but who knows what will be in future.
Primnproper · 56-60, F
@CrazyMusicLover we can only deal with things as they present themselves.
Jeephikelove · 51-55, F
Yes, my travel bucket list, my stepdad has dementia and it’s clearly getting worse, I have to take care of him in the foreseeable future. I’ll get to do some but not as much as I’ve always wanted.
Primnproper · 56-60, F
@Jeephikelove It's a terrible disease thats hit my family a few times..make sure you still make time for yourself..🤗
Jeephikelove · 51-55, F
@Primnproper I’m sorry to hear. His dad had it, so I’m not surprised and I’m thankful for my education and career because I know how to take care of him.
Primnproper · 56-60, F
@Jeephikelove well just treasure every moment with him.
PerfectionOfTheHeart · 46-50, F
That list is long and time is short. So I don’t focus on what I won’t be able to do and instead smile and feel the joy from what all I have been able to accomplish. Pretty stellar considering how easily a lot of it could have been denied on my journey.
Primnproper · 56-60, F
@PerfectionOfTheHeart good for you,i love that kind of positive outlook.🤗
4meAndyou · F
Nope. If I don't "accomplish" something, it's because I am calm enough to give myself permission NOT to have to "accomplish" every darned thing. Life is short. Peace and calm are a beautiful thing!
Primnproper · 56-60, F
@4meAndyou yep i feel that laid back as well..🙌
HumanEarth · 56-60, F
I'm afraid I won't be able to force the all worlds military to wear mini skirts and roller skates when in combat
Primnproper · 56-60, F
@HumanEarth Never say never! Thats my motto..😜
JohnnyNoir · 56-60, M
Pretty sure I'm not going to climb Mt. Everest now
Primnproper · 56-60, F
@JohnnyNoir you could pencil it in for next weekend! 😜
JohnnyNoir · 56-60, M
@Primnproper I've already canceled a submersible trip with millionaires to visit the Titanic for that weekend
Primnproper · 56-60, F
@JohnnyNoir oh i think that was very wise..lol
Yeah. There is something I want to do but I don't know how to.
Primnproper · 56-60, F
@thinkingoutloud can you not find out online about it?
Muthafukajones · 46-50, M
So many things. I’m a massive disappointment, especially to myself.
Primnproper · 56-60, F
