@AlchemyFox i wish i was more like that. it's just not in me to do that...plus my phone is a work phone, so i think i can be tracked. if i called in sick and left my phone at home and went golfing and my boss needed to talk to me, he'd get suspicious. there's not a day i go on holidays that i'm not messaged at least once a day....i am compensated for it though.

My god. The lies I have told. I haven't regretted a single one but I would take most of them back if I could. The damage done and still scarred over today? Jesus. it makes me think such immaturity is unsightly but... Fact is. Life is more complicated than anyone under 25 can understand without making a few adjustments to the truth.

Yes quite a few, from little ones with no real consequences to pretty big ones that hurt people. I try to tell the truth in every situation now, maybe I’m a bit too honest, but I prefer it.

Every time I say I am fantastic to my manager and he asks if I am lying...i tell him its the only lie I will ever tell....I regret it because he returns for a two hour heart to heart talk where I get nothing done 😒

The thing with lying is that you then have to try to remember what you said, so you remain consistent. Which is why I chose who I lie to selectively -most commonly my boss. And no, I don't regret that at all.
