@Tumbleweed I have multiple accounts. I am also a bird 🐦
SteelHands · 61-69, M
Lets be honest. All perversion is more or less mental illness. Posing as what you are not deceptively or not is perverse.
And the more you indulge in it the more mentally ill you become.

And the more you argue the point the more the proof.

@SteelHands I read the words, but, but, but what do they mean? All that made sense was some weird homophobic, sexist word-soup agenda that looked like a bot programmed by a toddler with a fever wrote. Very little point in continuing the "discussion"
Not a mental condition per se, it’s a symptom of an underlying mental disorder.

@Adogslife well I think you’ve got the right answer

Ass burgers
GoldenOldie · 31-35, M
@Madmonk What?
AllycatAD · 26-30, F
Hard to say if mentally ill or just want attention no matter the reason. some of the posts on here to me have been popcorn munching worthy.
GoldenOldie · 31-35, M
@AllycatAD this site it’s fair enough. It’s on SM and dating apps where it gets truly nastyyyy 😆
AllycatAD · 26-30, F
@GoldenOldie True enough, I haven't tried dating apps but I'll take your word for it.
GoldenOldie · 31-35, M
@AllycatAD Internet seems to create liars out of honest or at least normal people. Something about no face to face makes people less empathetic than is healthy
“Own your friends!” I bought Bionda from Jordan on MySpace in 2009 - I was 16. They were called Krystal and Bionda (also Jessica was mentioned)

Fake online accounts harmed me in real life and caused my mental illness to manifest
Narcissistic personality disorder ( though they will fake other diagnoses for attention they have no real ones usually )
They need as many avenues as possible for new supply.

@AnnabelleLeigh is that rare? I know Bipolar and BPD/EUPD people- but not NPD so much… Maunchausens is another one, where people fake medical conditions for attention-sympathy. Maunchausens By Proxy is when they make other folks ill. But recently I have heard of a “new” one; Maunchausens By Internet; might fit catfish?
HobNoblin · 36-40, M
On here we have paid professional trolls like that. Probably from Share Blue, Hope not Hate or similar 1% funded groups.
Well, they're certainly bored.. Probably have absolutely nothing else to do
angie8819 · 56-60, F
I wonder do they chat with each other
Harmonium1923 · 51-55, M
@angie8819 There is at least one person I have seen here who chats with his female alt as if they are different people. Commenting on each others posts.
GoldenOldie · 31-35, M
@Harmonium1923 that is weird - there’s a bunch of catfish on here; but we sort of expect it as a general thing; some aren’t catfish and are up front-role playing and not causing harm. I have seen posts a few times where a user admitted to doing it off-site on social on “a few” fakes = (probably minimilisation to make the behaviour seem less terrible)
Katie01 · F
People really do that?
GoldenOldie · 31-35, M
@Katie01 yeah - some big email providers let you create an account in minutes, idk if dating sites and social media sites nuke them if they join - but there’s probably a way around it for catfish
