Did you know anesthesiologists make almost as much as Doctors but don't need doctor school or something...idk read that somewhere

Teslin · M
I am no expert, but from what I understand there is plenty of overtime available.
So, if their policy is to pay time-and-a-half, or double time for anything over 8 hours, then yes. But that comes with poor care when they get tired and burnout.
Just my opinion.
@Teslin Did that "correct" to that?
Teslin · M
@SomeMichGuy No, I would have to do that manually myself.

Just did so every one will be happy
@Teslin No, I mean was your original auto-"corrected" or did you use a speech-to-text tool? (Another post here last night seemed to use that, and it was a jumble.)
Hiring a private nurse from an agency can cost over $100/hour in some places depending on skills and qualifications. Generally the agency takes a big cut of that. But if a nurse is willing to make a deal directly with a family seeking private care, I can see how they could earn that much.

Depends on where she lives. Large metro areas might pay out that much, but doubtful if she's working in a more rural area. Getting up to $800 I'd imagine would have to be LA/Bay Area.
Northwest · M
This translates into $165K. Yes this seems right. Don't count on long weekends, regular dinner and family time or predictable shifts.
HowtoDestroyAngels · 46-50, M
I know nurses who make that and more. It depends on what type of nurse they are and what type of degree they have.
YoMomma ·
There’s different rates in different areas and also overtime.. also she said she can make 800$ a day but that doesn't mean she does every day .. she didn't say “I'm making 800$ a day” just maybe she can on a good day idk 😳
Coralmist · 41-45, F
If she's a nurse practitioner she could surely make that. But a registered nurse makes roughly 40 dollars an hour, perhaps a few more. Let's say 43. 43 x 12 hours is $516. Maybe she mean she CAN earn up to 800 with overtime?
@Coralmist If they have wage-and-hour laws based upon an 8-hr work day,

12 clock hours worked
= 8 hr @ regular pay
+ 4 hr @ 150% pay ("time-and-a-half")
= (8 hr + 6 hr equiv) @ regular pay
= 14 hr PAY @ regular pay

($800/work day)(1 work day/14 hr pay)
= $57.14/hr

I'm not sure where you get your wage info.

Also, working weekends might be included and one might make double time pay (200% pay) after 40 hr/week, or on Sundays, with an additional bonus on holidays (leading to triple time, or 300% pay).

Most nurses work 12 hour shifts. So yes she makes $800 daily.
Younameit · F
It depends on the type of nursing, education background, and hours worked. Nurse practioners can make $110-140 k a year , travel nurses around that too. But a regular nurse probably in the 80-100 k range with OT.
People often exaggerate how much their profession makes i have heard these kind of things many times, it is usually because the person does not like their job and is justifying not finding a new one.
Travel nurses can easily make that in one day during a 12 hour shift.
Wallflow3r · 31-35, F
The absolute max a nurse would be making is $600 a day before deductions unless she is working overtime or something.. and that’s at 80 an hour.

Maybe she is meaning a nurse on OnlyFans? 😌😆
SunshineGirl · 36-40, F
Perhaps she does locum work. The daily rate would work out more than an annual salary.
BlueVeins · 26-30
Maybe shes hourly.
pride49 · 31-35, M
There's a money difference between being an LPN or RN too
Penny · 46-50, F
maybe she means a double shift
Likestoenjoylife · 51-55, M
If she works a 12 hr shift she probably does
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
Did she specify that she can make that much as a nurse though? 🙈

Traveling Nurses may make that kind of money.
She doing lap dances?
It probably also depends on where she’s a nurse.
fanuc2013 · 51-55, F
Is she adding her benefits package into that?
BuzzedLightyear · 61-69, M
She's getting tips...

StygianKohlrabi · 46-50, M
ask to see her paycheck
empanadas · 31-35, M
Depends on the hours and the hourly wage but yeah, it's possible.
My sister in law in a registered nurse at a catholic hospital in iowa, works friday and saturday nights 12 shifts into the next mornings, and only gets $15 an hour plus benefits.
