If they're insisting on an honest answer, yes I'll give it..but my people pleasing trait typically takes over so much so that I never ever offend someone. I just read recently people pleasing is a trauma response and I fully agree . If I ever disagreed growing up, I was screamed at, mocked, threatened. This was DAILY too, if you asked the wrong question, put a cup down the wrong way. It was a nightmare. So it's VERY hard for me to not first try to make sure someone is happy at any cost. And that cost has been for me to never be Myself 😧

Defo not afraid to give honest opinions / thoughts. But am selective.
I'm not a TMI person or one who uses verbosity.

If I express my opinion, it won't be filtered. Most often, I won't give an opinion if I know it will offend or start an argument. (Thus, I don't comment on religion or politics online.)

If someone asks for my honest opinion, they're getting it. Any other time I'm selective depending on the context

Not so much afraid as disapointed that others are so ignorant that any difference of opinion is seen as a perosnal assualt on their identity that it causes them anger and volatility.
