Why humans are intelligent but use their freewill to be a special needs case? People are sick of being smart or something?

It does seem like everyone wants to be special needs now, and it especially seems just about everyone has a special needs child nowadays. It's almost like it's the in-thing now. Being autistic has especially become popular. Way different than the past when a special need was the last thing anyone wanted.

Well, humans as an entirety are a special needs case. They have a world as their oyster, supposedly smarter than other species but are determined to not have a planet left for monetary gain, or old customs I must follow traditions and backwards ideas. If they used their "intelligence" of maybe working together instead of against, maybe we'd get somewhere?

Logic and emotion often ignore each other. People don't usually have the mental bandwidth to give equitable consideration to both. Perhaps it's too much effort for too little of a reward

Perhaps concious thought enabled bipedal biologic entities that use language for communication and thought processing couls replace that generic human label?

Freewill is a religion based concept with the implementation that is contrary and that contradiction should logically nullify the concept, freewill would include the ability to deny the concept itself, that concept is about control not logical thought
