Western society is so racked with poor mental health and self pity, while the east and the developing world just get on with surviving and progress.

There is truth in that. I think it's partly caused by too much technology introduced too quickly into society. Also, at least in the U.S. a lack of community. Wide-spread drug use and crime are also results of these factors.

Maybe in Western societies people can actually publicly discuss politics and complain about what politicians do. 🤐
I'd still like to see what Chinese youth talk about on social media though.
