An apology means that you are genuinely sorry and you recognize that you have hurt the person you are apologizing to and you make an effort of not doing that thing again, even if its a habit. I only accept 2 apologies and if they still havent put the effort to stop, then theyre not going to change and have no plans on changing so i walk away

@NativePortlander1970 No, like I said before, forgiving doesn’t mean giving them another chance to hurt you, it just means not letting yourself be consumed with a desire to see them get their comeuppance. It doesn’t mean you give them another chance, it just means you don’t want revenge. I think I’ve said it pretty clearly, do you get it now?

You can forgive someone for the same mistake but that doesn't mean you have to stay. However, if you have a young family, careful thought has to put into play.
