Internet Farcebook and other sites gave rise to the false idea that love and its ways could be explained through memes and posted comments.

As if that wasn't enough they decided to take charge over the very meanings of human consciousness, falsehood or truths, good and bad, and meaning itself.

People became foolish.

Honestly I find myself agreeing with you quite a bit there. It's no longer about finding someone with as complimentary a personality to yours as possible. It's about finding someone with as much resourceful benefaction as possible for us. To be fair, not everyone is like that, but it's definitely seen a massive rise over even the last 20 years or so. It feels like dating/relationships are more like job interviews now; where we have to meet a certain criteria of requirements before we're even considered for the position, rather than being completely taken by someone's unique perception, ambition, creativity, insightfulness, caring nature and their ability to make you laugh. It feels like those things pale in comparison to resource based compensation these days.

I’m sure I left it around somewhere…

People decided to modernise the meaning of love.
Unfortunately it became a clinical explanation of just a chemical reaction, but much like Tina Turner said "what's love got to do wit it. "
So true love is a fairy tale

True love is tolerant, supportive, unconditional and honest but even for those of us who have invested over 40 years, it has lost its way

I have found quite a few things have lost their way to humanity. Decency, maturity and self respect can also be on the list.

In this day and age love is an empty meme or over positive quote. It has no substance in this internet age. 🤢

Yes it has become a rare things these days.. Mostly because people have become focused on social status, material wealth and physical attractivness... Many now see Love as a pathetic weakness.. The more they exterminate Love the less they are satisfied with the other factors they grasp for..

I think it's a genuine and unbreakable love. A 'no matter what' kind of love. Certainly something that seems to elude most of us.

I would like to know. True love in an adult romantic intimate type sense is a dark art I'm not able to interpret.
