How to make money online videos... Tom Blake,Vinsane And Paid from Surveys (Earn with Mike) are all good YouTube Channels... Those guys show legit apps that really do pay and aren't scams ❤❤❤

- mostly music videos (REAL music, not AI music)
- occasionally drum or guitar cover videos, and Rick Beato stuff
- videos on expat life in Europe
- European landscape drone videos
- an occasional bit of wine or spirits oriented videos
- occasionally car and aviation videos but this is increasingly infected with AI slop
- rarely, a full episode of a modern art docuseries may appear in full on YT
- rarely, "golden age" YT parody videos (which you basically need to download or you will never find them again; even more recent funny content has been hidden by the creator, like a video by Peter Serafinowicz doing a voice over of a Trump word salad speech in a Homer Simpson voice)
- the occasional video on how to fix something broken

I have absolutely zero desire to watch any videos for news or punditry, I will READ my news and opinion content from more mainstream sources, thank you very much; moreover, text is SEARCHABLE, and punditry in general is of little value to society, especially compared to raw objective, mainstream, fact-based journalism (not right wing news sites)

I absolutely avoid "shorts" and I hide channels that instantly reek of AI, in the few portions of the UI that allow me to actually do this, mainly the right side bar is the only UI that presents this menu option

it's no longer really viable for many full movies to download, so that has moved to ok.ru for me (for movies that aren't available at the library on DVD or via Netflix)

ok, this is about the only exception to the "shorts" rule

I'm a snake fan, so I watch herping videos. Most of the music videos that I watch are of soothing music in the evening.

I like a nice variety. I'm subscribed to Randy Rainbow, who is a gay man who does political parodies of popular songs. He's hilarious. Another one I love is a drag queen who calls himself Mayhem. He's got a channel called And Mayhem Ensued, where he does makeup tips to help you look like MAGA personalities. He also tells stories of how conservative men get up in his DMs thinking he's a woman, and getting all pissed off when they find out.

I also watch a lot of videos of racists and homophobes being owned in public. It's hilarious, because some of them don't even realize they're being laughed at until later.

And then when I get tired of watching bigots get what's coming to them, there's Matt Rose. He asks funny, open-ended questions on Reddit and then reads the responses on his channel.

I've also been using YouTube over the last couple of years to overcome internalized homophobia with subliminal videos.

ASMR Historian is one of my faves right now. I fall asleep to it every night. It's a historian with a really soothing voice, telling you about a particular topic in history. There's no visual other than his own hands against a dark background, arranging stones, cards, trinkets, etc idly. The whole thing is so relaxing.
AthrillatheHunt · 56-60, M
Mostly people getting tazed, or having their pimples popped or ears cleaned.
JupiterDreams · 31-35
True crime
ASMR
Movie reviews
Cooking videos
No commentary gaming
(1) Various kinds of how-to videos
(2) Classic rock music, often live

I tend to avoid political talkiing heads; I can read 3X faster than they can talk, and I can skim to the key parts even faster.
