Did you used to use Y!A (Yahoo Answers) when it was still up?

I was there until the end i started off in the Religion &Spirituality section then moved on to PollsAndSurveys.

This morning I had to use an alternate email account to get into the one I normally use and I got to thinking about back when I was on Y/A. At one point I must have had a half dozen accounts. Most of them I didn't actually use to answer questions, but I would occasionally have them drop by to upvote answers.

There's a certain SW user I won't name who I remember from Y/A ( I don't think she's active here now anyway). We didn't know each other but I got good at spotting here answers due to a catch phrase she often used. It was really easy to find the questions that interested her and I would go through the ones that were in voting to find her answers and upvote them. It wasn't unusual for me to find several of her answers in a short time frame and give them enough votes to get her best answer. A lot of these were questions that weren't exactly popular so it should have jumped out at her that something funny was going on with the upvotes, especially that many that close together.

I used it from 2014-2021 when they shut it down. I would use it off and on.

I used to use the sports sections at first, I didn’t begin using Polls & Surveys till about 2017.

Not really sure what category I would show up as.

If I had a car question, I would just post about it in the car category. For me it was more about, I've got a question, find the appropriate category and make a post. Kind of like what I do here.

But I did however carry over my Yahoo answers Avatar picture that would show up next to people's names.

Yeah I was, mostly in the R&S category but I ocassionally answered questions that were fetish related and probably some others that I'm forgetting at the moment. I left when the purple plague took over.
