Clearly a den of idiots and trolls for they all came here after Yahoo answers shut down.

@SumKindaMunster Really? Who are they? I still don’t think I’ve encountered any of them.
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@WanderingThrough Wade into some of the political questions, particularly around controversial stuff like Trump, transgenderism, and racism.

You'll hear from them.
WanderingThrough · 31-35, F
@SumKindaMunster I see! I’ll have to pay more attention on those posts.

I have good memories of using the site from around 2008-2012, but it became a troll-infested swamp, and some of the categories I enjoyed were eventually ruined. It had to go. Sadly, none of the other Q&A sites really offers the YA features that made it enjoyable to use, aside from the trolls. I'm noticing some of them showing up on those other sites, however. I hope the moderators on them are vigilant.

@Vittoria I started back in 2005 when it first came and I spent most of my childhood on that site and it feels like the doors to my childhood have been closed forever

@Kidsarentalright hopefully they'll know how to handle them

I first made my account in 2007. It was in May, and I had just graduated from High School. I spent hours on that site, and this was still when we had dial-up so one may be able to understand that frustration! The point system along with just how entertaining it was kept me coming back day after day. I met a lot of friends there, some of which I have on my Facebook.

I think that Verizon is making a mistake shutting it down completely. There are unique questions and answers on there that one may not be able to find anywhere else. Opinions on how different things are done. Shutting it down might result in something important never being able to be found, or a certain way to do something. In my opinion, removing it from the search index is a bad idea. Yes, there was a lot of B.S. on there, but most of it is fun and games, and there were categories that were serious when it came to helping people.

In short, I will never forget my time there, and it now feels as though a piece of my young adulthood is stripped away forever, only to exist in memory, nothing more.

That's where I started back in 2008. It was fun until they took the profile pictures off the questions.

I used to enjoy it, but there was a steady decline over the last couple of years.

@AndysLoft Yes. It was definitely in decline. Perhaps it was for the better in the long run for it to shut down.
