In no way is what this person said rude. Some of us are actually just holding back a giant tirade of abuse and crying. We need down time with NOONE asking anything of us. I get asked too many damn things in a day and someone asking for my help outside of work is almost always a "No."
I've killed queries like this and the fact this person even answered you shows they are doing you a courtesy.
