I don't think I could stay with someone who just runs when I'm attacked unless I actually tell them to run or there is a source of aid nearby they are specifically seeking. That's not a person who is going to be willing to struggle with me and tackle problems together when things go wrong. So why should I let them share in the things that go right?

It's fine if she forgives him. Forgiveness is supposed to be good for our own well-being...souls, and all. Based on the information available, however, I definitely don't think she should marry him.

I think I would forgive my girlfriend if she ran off while a dog attacked me. I mean it's not a good reaction, but I understand that the situation is very scary. This kind of thing is not likely to come up again anyway.

@nonsensiclesnail he's a grown man he could have kicked the dog picked up a stick, done something, anything and called 911 at the same time dogs kill people there's no reason whatsoever in my opinion that made it ok for him to leave.
