Why can’t I make posts on Reddit? I have enough karma apparently because I can post as many comments as I want.Do I need even more karma to be able to make posts?

has anyone here used redditi tried to join a couple of years ago but i never understood it, i tried to post something but i couldn't get it to post, or maybe i was being censored....anyhow i gave up on it.
