I'm 100% against publicly posting private messages without blurring the sender's user name.
The two layers of SW (public posts and private messages) should be kept strictly separated.

I get one every once in a while from a young lady who describes her younger brother being abused by their father and asks what I think. When I say he's being abused she blocks me. Which is fine with me. lol.

The "fetish folks" are not shy about reaching out, even if there’s nothing on your profile even hinting that you might be interested in their "quirks". 🙄

You can report the post to the admins and block the offender. Some people post a warning in their "about me" message or introduction stating that this will happen with such posts.

Calling out other members like this is against the rules of Similar Worlds. Not that I agree with the fetishishts - but two wrongs don't make a right.

I think that's mostly a function of displaying your gender as female and using a feminine profile image. I don't get much of any messages.

One or two, perhaps. Sometimes, I will make friends with someone who SEEMS very nice and absolutely normal, which allows them to PM me, and I will have a little surprise like that later...but Nadie is right. If you put a tempting or sexy photo out there, you will get garbage PMs.
