i'm ditching facebook i'm done with it
i've been on for years been on facebook since 2013 but all it's done for me is effect my mental health and make it worse but i'm going to wait 30 days till it's deleted i'm just done with it

What happened?
I only have family and close friends like guidelines tell you too so I feel safe. But you never know
Facebook has blended real life, advertising and politics into their content so well that sometimes you can't tell which is real and which is made up AI garbage.
There are super long winded made up stories about virtually every famous person, things that never happened, and you can't tell the difference, all to set some agenda for them.
You the fool.
You see all these people commenting about how wonderful or how terrible and it's all made up nonsense.
Tons of political garbage too, you have to keep selecting "Not interested" until FB figures out if you are a Democrat or a Republican so it can farm more garbage ads at you using that theme.
It is incredible, there should be a law against brainwashing, but it seems nobody cares (or at least, the people that should care do not).

If I were not a gigging musician, I would have been off of there a long time ago. I simply have no need to impress anyone anymore.

All social media sucks. I enjoyed Twitter but now it is a hellscape of racism and negativity. Luckily I never got into Facebook

I'm a musician, and the main thing I use FB for is plogging my gigs and IMing other musicians about gigs, etc. And IMs to some family members. But that's about it and it's get on, do what I need to do, and then get the hell off.
