It’s not much different now. Which is to say it wasn’t immediately after the transition there are some nuisances, now that it has been years since the switch. But it’s largely the same. Welcome back! Ask a question get an answer then discuss? There seems to be a spam enforcement code now it’s best to not post too many questions all at once. You’ll get a cool down period of about 30 minutes; it can be annnoy. Also I’m not sure blocking or flag/report was a thing on the original EP. But it’s as much if not more fun!

I met two people there who I became fast friends with. I hoped that one of the relationships would become romantic, but we remained good friends as I helped her get out of Boston and away from a stalker. We’ve now been best friends for about 15 years and she’s happily married out in the Midwest- just not to me. :(. Other chat friends I made then I stil correspond with. Maybe the internet was more authentic in the early 2000s? I don’t feel like friends I meet now will be around that long.

EP I guess I just caught at the right time for myself. I think it brought me out of my shell a bit...I opened up to people, made some friends. Moments in time...life changes and people change. At times I would move on for a bit and then come back to it. Likely wanting to seek out those same feelings that gave me a spark. But I guess it's the kind of thing that just can't be recreated. Or maybe it's just not time for it again. I don't know...it all amounts to a pretty love/hate sort of thing I guess.

Oh man I totally agree. There was magic at EP and I found good good friends who were there for me when my life was falling apart. I keep in contact with two of those OG EP still.
