Experience project?
God I miss that site. Are there any other sites other than this that are similar? Please share if so. Does anyone know why exactly they took down that site? It seemed to be doing so well.

I've searched many times over the years for an EP substitute, but SW is the closest thing I've found.
It isn't comparable to EP though. I've been finding it much harder to click with people here. At EP there was such a diversity of people and forum subjects, which made it much easier to find friends with common interests.
Also historically, I think the original purpose of EP was to be a medical support site. When I joined in 2007 that spirit of support was still alive. Consequently there was nowhere near the amount of trolling and bullying that you find here.

@SW-User I never ever experienced judgment, mocking, or being bullied on EP. This site god forbid you write a post you have someone trying to argue with you because they don't like what you said. Like umm pretty sure this is my journal / my experience so please go somewhere with your toxicity. I never had to use the block button on EP but here I'm new I'm pretty certain I will have to. Hell, I already blocked a couple of people for trying to argue. Some people have no life and find a thrill in it. Like they need validation from others they must not have been hugged enough as a child. Me on the other hand I won't waste my time to argue I will just block your crusty arse.

It was the best social media experiment ever. This place, [b]SW[/b] is a close second. The funny part is that I have made more friends here than there if you can believe that. It's not the website itself though that has changed. It's the people . It's the type of people that operate and participate on the site itself that makes it what it is. The energy may be different here but it's still going. I think if the users were actually more interested in making quality posts and woke up outta [b] sleep,[/b] then [b]SW[/b] would be just as good if not better. It's the lack of interest, the lack of desire, the lack of energy and imagination. That's the vibration that this world is currently in right now. It's a low lazy vibration now. Negativity runs the show. But it is what it is. Long live [b]The Experience Project.[/b] 🖥️

@helenS @whowasthatmaskedman Actually here in the U.S. he could have been telling the truth at that time. A few national breweries, led by Budweiser, watered down the beer, put their money into advertising/marketing, and squeezed most local and regional beers into bankruptcy in a dumbed-down America. Fortunately brew pubs and craft beers have brought back good beers and ales.

There were invitations sent to the users of EP to join this site so anybody who wanted to continue had the opportunity. I had only just joined EP and received one but not the follow up saying when this came online. I believe but could be wrong that some of the admins are the same maybe somebody could confirm.

Experience Project was basically crapping on their users by selling our stories for a book.

@minxy Thank you for this I was always curious because the site was working then one day all of a sudden it stopped. I wish they would have let us known so I could keep contact info with the amazing people on there

EP was quite a fine site. I remember the glory days there. It is long gone. This site is like a baby brother to the eldest son EP. Not comparable. It died because of the crimminal element. A couple of murders. Lots of illegal activity. I heard that lady with gypsy in her name helped destroy it. Anyway, there are no replacements. Never will be. When this site dies, we have nowhere to go. So get contact info now. Be prepared.

Yeah theres a place called... similar worlds, its very similar to ep except that its not BUT its meant to be a predecessor to it. While EP made it easy to be anonymous, SW broadcasts all over ze youtube with their channel AND you can link it to your google account hooray
I don't know why they took it down but I miss it as well. It was a lot better than SW but I can't find a suitable replacement.
