About the handbag. It's the one I bought most recently at NMS Tønsberg. It only cost me 30 NOK (about 3 USD, 2.70 EUR, 2.30 GBP). That's less than a cup of coffee which is typically about 40 NOK here unless you are at IKEA.

I was pleased to get it because I don't have any other nice looking bags that I can carry rucksack style but I didn't inspect it very closely and only noticed today that one of the straps was only held on by a scrap of twine.

Looks like the rivet had not been fitted correctly because there is no sign that it ha been mishandled.

So I took a pair of pliers to the rivet and succeeded in squashing it enough to pull it out without damaging the leather. And I replaced it with an M5 cheese head screw and nut with washers on the inside and outside. Had to poke the screw through the lining of course.

I have quite a few of them and I dismantled a couple of cartons of them last week thinking that I must be able to use them for something. My house is full of stuff like that.

So here's the bag

I noticed that the surface had some scratches so used some brown shoe polish to cover them up after the pictures were taken.

Today's outfit. Note the backpack style handbag

It’s 15C at the moment but has been raining enough to have small stream flood watches. Looks soggy for the next few days but way above average temperature wise.

I wasn't alone by the fjord today.
I'm not sure if they thought I might have some food or if they were complaining that I was trespassing on their favourite spot.
