Have you ever read a blog post or article where they were all like:

"I swear by this method"

"100% guarantee"

"this WILL solve your problem"

and then they have a disclaimer page in fine print that says that they're not a professional, bla bla bla

I dunno, I always thought that was funny 😂

Only "like"?

Statements like those are funny even without the disclaimer!

If they took the trouble to read - not just see - professionally-written advertisements, packaging blurb, etc. they would know how to make both claim and disclaimer in the same few words that stress the claim while hinting at the truth!
