What do people gain from making rude comments on SW users posts?!

First I will insert the caveat that some people ask for it and by that I mean the people who are overtly creepy or hostile in their posts.

Those occasions aside, it's usually just people who have a chip on their shoulder who feel the need to try and belittle others. It's a weak play by powerless folk who are resentful.

Right!? They’re obviously so miserable that they have to bring others down.

They want to make it easier for the rest of us to identify losers and block them.

I guess they are mad and misdirecting their rage to everyone everywhere?

When people act like this with others they don't really know - whether online or off - they're usually either self-absorbed or they're acting out on some pain or something they're going through. Either way there's little gain from me responding to it.

They're trolling

Some of the comments I've seen that could be interpreted as rude are just them trying to bring that person back to reality.

I don't bother replying to certain posts on here, as I know people won't think I've voiced my opinion and be very unkind and insulting.

It makes them feel powerful or important..would be my guess

Some people are fun to troll at times...

But like how dull and lifeless would it be if everyone was always earnest and serious.

You have to laugh sometimes.

They have bully tendencies 🤷🏻‍♀

not to quote the bible a lot but

"out of the heart's abundance the mouth speaks"

so...they are sad and angry little creatures with no concern for the feelings of others.

there is no why - just sadness that somebody treated them so badly that they need to do that.
