I will probably have the unpopular opinion here but I see blocking someone as an absolute last resort when you tried everything else. It's something I generally reserve only for paedophiles and really awful people that go out of their way to be unpleasant. There are real people with feelings beyond the words on the screen and it can be really hurtful getting blocked. I prefer to either ignore if we don't really gel or if there's been a misunderstanding or hurt feelings, I'd like to tell them. They can't put anything right with a block.

Why would they not like the fact that you block people? Do they expect everyone to just put up with things they don’t like? There’s some strange characters here, ones I’m more than happy to block or mute so I don’t have to put up with them.

i never understand the people who take such massive pride 'never using block'. if thats the only strength of character a person has, they are poor beyond measure. and there are far too many who take delight in being people that others endure.

I get blocked every now and then but I only block political idiots. Important to keep in mind nothing very important happens here. People come and go.
