not everyone is going to like my posts........... and thats okay.
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
I don't expect likes or hearts by default, it's rather a pleasant surprise when I get them.
JimboSaturn · 56-60, M
@CrazyMusicLover Same here.

Nah, it matters not to me. People should only like the things they want to. Not like things because they are my friend.

@DisappearingTide I feel the same way. Hearts are appreciated but aren't expected and never for the need of validation.
Casheyane · 31-35, F
@DisappearingTide Some friends don't get that though. Fact.

In real life, my friends and I don't agree on everything. And likewise here, I do not expect people I am friends with on SW to like every single thing I post.

Not really.
Hearting or liking isnt everything.
There is more to a genuine connection than that. It is the ability to pause and check upon how the other person is doing, listening and carrying good conversations.

Its nice getting hearts and replies. Yet ppl are busy with their real lives and might not have the time to check all the posts out. I'll see a friend's post but sometimes dont reply but give them a heart at least.
Umile · 41-45, F
Not at all.
My words might connect to some, while others not so much.
Everyone's truth incites a feeling in another.
Heart, comment and vent till your hearts content.

It never occurs to me to heart anyone. Not being mean or nice, just doesn't occur to me to do so.
GrannyWeatherwax · 61-69, F
I don't mind at all about the hearts. It's nice to get them of course, I think it shows if anyone has liked reading my posts. I'm sure many have made good friends over the years on social media and that's great, but I would never confuse friends made on here I just chat with and whom I'll never meet, with friends offline.
Justmeraeagain · 56-60, F
No, not that important
DrWatson · 70-79, M
@Justmeraeagain Well, I had to give this a heart anyway! 😅

Eh, I'm anonymous on Facebook that I barely even use. I refuse to use my real name there. I only made an account when I learned there was games you could play.
I have 1 friend from another place I used to work at, and my offline friends brother are on my Facebook. Made a Twitter account to share my paper models I put together but haven't even been on that site in a good 2 years at least.
Social media is a scourge in my opinion and should be done away with. If this site is considered social media, I don't see that as I use this for the Yahoo answers replacement website.

I’m not typically here for validation. Just the shenanigans.

I think that let's say on Facebook it affects some people a bit. Some people wouldn't care but alot of people do care.
