What do you do when you realize some people on here live in your town/city? Do you steer clear of them or suggest to meet up for coffee?

I met with a member from EP who lived on his sailboat. I live by the ocean and he was near and we became good friends. We hung out about a dozen times before he went quiet and I found out he passed away.

I've met one person who is in my vague geographic area and I wouldn't have hated meeting up but we didn't really talk much. Seemed cool.

Yet to meet anyone even close. I once had someone say they were traveling to a city near me. Yet refused to even say when. 🤣

This site is too small to meet up with anyone. 🤷🏻‍♂ And this is the only site that I am on. It's a big world. And this is a big country.

I do find it odd that everyone seems to expect you to meet them, not them to meet you. I suspect someone in that scenario is lying.

I saw that someone mentioned living not too far away from my small population region so I blocked them. It is not yet right time to come out as a SW user. 😅
