I live in a small town, love it!

In the city. I live in the burbs right now but I just love the hustle and bustle of a busy city. And you can order food more easily.

Small city. That way you have enough amenities to enjoy and enough disposable income to enjoy them.

I’ve always been a "city mouse", and I love it. The closest I came was the summers I spent with my grandparents in their neighborhoods, but I don’t think many people live like that anymore. I envy the way my parents described their childhoods in their communities.

I live in a small town (24,000) near a medium sized city. It's just right.

Between those two choices alone, I'd say a small town.

But if there was a third option, I'd choose the countryside or a small rural village.

in a city with a million or 2 million or more people but I have also lived in smaller citys

Depends on where it would be located, if a small town, how far from a bigger city it is, would I live in a house or an apartment? If in a big city, at the outskirts or the city center? If a small town, by the sea, surrounded by the woods, in a desert, in the nowhere at a flatlands in the middle of the fields?
Too many questions.

In my teens I hated living in a small town where everyone knew everyone else's business so at 18/19 I moved to London and loved it - but as I neared 30 I moved further and further out of the centre, ending up in a small town similar to the one where I grew up.

I appreciate the charm of a small town, but exclude the ones where everyone knows your name and your business. That isn't a neighborhood; it's just a breeding ground for gossip.
