For those of you who are living in the same town you grew up in....

It's just down the road from me... but, even that is too far for me to walk now.

Last time I went, I was surprised to see that they had built fencing around the parking area - so you can't drive onto the pedestrian areas anymore... that was useful when you were moving in or out.

The park is long gone now, too... and the path for walking down to the canal. It's still there, technically, just overgrown now. The nature area - and the fly tipped waste was still there, though.

sometimes....or i'll sometimes go on google maps and type in my old address from a different province i used to live in...that is interesting because i'll look at how big a tree is in the front yard that my mother planted over 40 years ago

A couple of miles away from where I live now we had a treed park, an ice rink and a public swimming pool - but, best of all, a variety store stocked with black balls, comic books, pop, chocolate bars, etc. where I splurged my 35 cents allowance every Saturday morning :)

Sadly, the home I was raised in (the house my dad and his buddy Bill built) was torn down a few yrs ago.

Yes. Half a mile away. A well known English pop band members great uncle bought it afterwards. Its my second childhood home. My first childhood home is hundreds of miles away.

My mother in law only lives about 500 metres away from the house I grew up in so occasionally I take a drive by.

It’s about 3 miles from me here in Brooklyn. My brother and I just sold the building for $8 million. That’s much sweeter than any memories of growing up there.

i live near enough i can drive by the old house once in a while. My first Christmas tree is planted on the side of the garage. it's at least 60 feet tall!

I moved away but when I go back to visit, it's almost unrecognizable, the area 😢

No because my mother still lives there and I'm done with that part of my life and her
