I always wanted an extra hour
ChipmunkErnie · 70-79, M
These days I don't, I can't. I have to be up to take care of my wife. Before the dementia hit her she used to be the one who got up, fed the dog, etc., but now I have to do all that plus take care of her.
peterlee · M
@ChipmunkErnie Yes, that is called age and responsibility. My top priority is caring for my wife. Did she have a good night. Then feed the dogs. If I’m lucky I go for a run. Diabetes control.

About two hours…coffee maker starts itself about 3am, and the sound of it wakes me up. Pet the dog for 15 minutes while the coffee brews. Grab a cup when it finishes and go back to bed so the dog can lay on my lap while I game and sip coffee. About 4am I’ll get my second cup and get back under the covers. 5am shower and get ready. 6am, drop off the dog at my GF’s so he can hang out with her dogs while I work.

Depends on the day, what I have planned, and how well I slept. Lately it's been about an hour from waking up. I wake up look at the clock, think it's too early, turn over and think I'll just doze for a few minutes, look at the clock again and realize I'm now late getting up.
But if it's a day on which I really have to get things done I'll be out of bed within seconds of waking up.

@ninalanyon same, I can either be a spinning coil or a couch potato depending on the day and activities...:)
Holden · 31-35, M
Usually an hour or 2. I cut it shorter a lot of the time though because the first thing I usually do is work out before doing anything else after.

@XxLaYanderexX you, too huh? I lost 20 lbs already within the past month and my arms are getting bigger. I am gonna keep the momentum going.
XxLaYanderexX · F
@Holden Yea, I go at least 3 to 4 times a week before work....unless I need to prioritize sleep 😴
hunkalove · 70-79, M
Depends. I often wake up about 2AM and can't go back to sleep and give up about 4:00 and get up. If i don't walk up until 5 or 6 I just get up.
tobynshorty · 51-55, F
I get right up
DunningKruger · 61-69, M
I generally wake up sometime between 3 hours and no time before my first alarm goes off at 6:30 a.m., but I also generally go right back to sleep until the alarm. After the 6:30 alarm, I generally go back to sleep until my second alarm goes off at 7 a.m., and maybe for another 10 minutes if I snooze.

Maybe a minute.
BridgeOvertroubledWaters · 61-69, M
If I don't hit the snooze and doze off again I get up straight away. Besides, I usually need to pee really bad when I wake up lol
HowtoDestroyAngels · 46-50, M
I get up right away.
peterlee · M
Too long. I should get up a quarter of an hour earlier and pray. Start with a psalm refreshed.
ScreamingFox · 41-45, F
Depends. If I wake up at 6 maybe five minutes. If I wake up earlier I lay there till 530-6
CountScrofula · 41-45, M
Depends on when I wake up tbh. I can spend a full hour or I can be out of bed in an instant. I got no rhyme nor reason.

Depends on what I have going on
FreeSpirit1 · 51-55, F

Honestly, it depends on how late I’ve gone to bed the night before.
