I have, as part of my dreams, sometimes dreamed I fell asleep. don't think another dream though
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
A few times. I had a dream when I wasn't sure if something that I thought had happen in reality only happened in a dream (within a dream) or not.
I also think I had multiple layers of dreams and each time I realized "oh, this is still not it."

Jenny1234 · 56-60, F
@AliceinWonderland that’s freaky!!
Raaii · 22-25, F
yes like watching a movie in a movie
It'll feel so realistic but at the end none of it exists 😿

@walabby
I'm not making light of this but there must be a reason horror movies usually have young girls in all sorts of scary situations - many of which happen at night and involving dream-like, nightmare-like terrors.

@SW-User Yeah... Could be.
Jenny1234 · 56-60, F
@SW-User my oldest daughter had night terrors. It was scary when it started and I didn’t know what was happening

SW-User
I have and I even remember thinking 'oh that is just a dream', go to a different level and thinking ' oh that is also a dream', so what the heck is reality. All in the dream.
Jenny1234 · 56-60, F
@SW-User it’s confusing for a while isn’t it.

SW-User
@Jenny1234 yes. You need to train yourself to tell whether you're in a dream or not. There are a few anchors you can set for yourself to do this. Especially if it happens a lot.
NinaCherry · 26-30, F
@SW-User wtf 😂 u entered Matrix
Straylight · 31-35, F
I had a dream about waking up and telling my niece something, only to wake up from that dream to tell her about it, only to wake up from that dream to tell her about the dream within a dream, only to wake up for real.
robingoodfellow · M
@Straylight that's so freaking cool
Nightwings · 31-35, F
No but I find the concept really spooky, instead I had some nightmares from which I couldn't wake up. Last time that happened, I was screaming inside the dream that I was trapped in my own head and couldn't get out, it was terrifying. /=
Jenny1234 · 56-60, F
@Nightwings that is definitely scary

Can’t say that I have. Unless it was one of those dreams I can’t remember
Howudoin · 46-50, M
I've had this several times. Have a crazy dream that wakes you up, only, you haven't woken up yet and you're in another crazy dream. That's when my brain starts telling me to actually wake up. Bizarre stuff
pdockal · 56-60, M

No but I have confronted a marauding
monster in my dream and told it “ stop chasing me this is a dream”. The monster paused for a moment, then said “no it isn’t” then continued to chase me.

Wasn't there a movie about this? Like having levels of dreams. With Keanu Reeves?

@sarabee1995 Leonardo DiCaprio not Keanu Reeves.

I’ve seen it in the movies but I’m not sure it’s happened to me.
What were you dreaming about?
What were you dreaming about?

A false awakening... Yes, only one, and it scared the crap out of me. I thought that all the crazy things that were happening were real, because I had just "woken up"...
Subsumedpat · 36-40, M
I have had a lot of weird dreams but not that one, a dream within a dream.
robingoodfellow · M
I've had a few of those. It's disorienting but I like it somehow.
bookerdana · M
I've had dreams where I thought I had awakened but hadn't
Yep, it's on my Alan Parsons Prioject CD
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
Called a "false awakening" its definitely a strange experience. After you finally wake up, you wonder how you could have been fooled.
novaguy2u · 70-79, M
Yes, and it's very confusing/

am I having One now?
Many times.

Nice to know it’s happened to others. Maybe I’m not crazy 🤪 after all. lol
DDonde · 31-35, M
I have, and they usually result in nightmares for me for whatever reason.
