No it does not because if you are a 100% American then you would be native. But I am about as close as they come besides being full-blooded native. Because my ancestor was the crown governor of Bermuda who turned against the throne in favor of the revolution and my other ancestry is Cree Native pretty much as American as they come

@KingofBones1 English settlers came over and called it america. Natives called it turtle island.

@GuyWithOpinions Englishmen did not come over here and name it America it was a Spaniard who never even landed here by the name of Christopher Columbus and he named it America after Amerigo Vespucci

I have no Native American DNA. All of my ancestors came to America from somewhere in Europe, mainly the UK, but also other places.

Depends on the definition of Americans.
By settler-colonialist definition yeah.
In actuality, no one is 100% American except Native Americans.

@basilfawlty89 it is thought that Native Americans originated in Asia and crossed to America via the Beringer Land Bridge
basilfawlty89 · 36-40, M
@Anniedlr true.
But homo sapiens all migrated out of Africa originally. Nonetheless the Native Americans reached the Americas first.
Even European had migrations from Near Eastern agriculturalists. That's how they learned farming and most speak an Indo-European language.

No. It means you’re an American of English descent—obviously. Pure Indigenous Americans would deserve the title more.
