Yea, i'm back home in India from Germany any I smoke, and is considered very bad. Not able to cut down. Causing a lot of trouble. I wish i stopped :)

It’s hard. Watch videos that make you laugh. Funny videos.
Write them out in journals with emotions and anger and complete truth. Pour it out on paper it lets go off you some after that. Also, I haven’t tried it but heard it REALLY works—- walking 🚶‍♀ for miles/hours. You can literally walk it off in long walks …

I do show compassion to others that are considered higher or lower identity in this world.

Home should be a safe place to show emotions. He probably grew up in an environment where it wasn't safe, so he learned to dismiss yours (and his own). Only thing I can recommend is Emotionally Focused couples therapy
