What are you grateful for in your life?

I am grateful to have made it this far in life.
Had a hiccup in the early nineties which almost saw my demise.
Survived a 100 kph single vehicle crash 7 years ago.
I know many of my peers who are no longer here.

So much! I live in a country where I can take my freedom for granted and live without fear of war or a totalitarian regime that controls my every movement. I can worship however I want to and I will not be persecuted. I have access to an education and reasonable, if not perfect welfare services. Healthcare is free at the point of access. My children are safe, I have a job I'm good at, that makes me happy, there's good food in the cupboards and I have amazing friends and family who love and support me. Oh and there's SW as a constant source of entertainment. Lots to keep smiling about. 😊

Whatever you do, don't screw up your life like your ancestors did by moving to the USA in thinking the grass looked greener.

I'm thankful for the Good Samaritans, paramedics and other health care providers who didn't give up on my dad. He was technically dead for 20 mins but they didn't give up resuscitation. They brought him back to my family. I don't even know their names, but I'm forever grateful to them.

The list is extremely long. This weekend, I am most grateful for my wife since it is her birthday. I am so grateful she didn't choose one of the other guys who tried to win her heart.

My good health, so far at least. So I'm able to enjoy travelling in my retirement.

I’m grateful for my daughter, my career and my education. Just generally my privilege in life.

Grateful for never having smoked a single cigarette in my lifetime nor consumed an ounce of booze, despite growing up on a tobacco farm and being host to a lot of parties where a lot of friends would gather who were always drunk before they ever got there.

I'm grateful for having the conscious awareness to know better, which I can say, doesn't necessarily apply to all aspects of my life nor to my behavior!
