I had to take out a loan to do some repairs on my house but am otherwise debt free. No mortgage, no car payment, no credit cards. I will likely have to work till I die though. As fortunate as I've been there's no way for me to save money.

I have no debt so that's good. I have no credit still either which is wild since I'm almost 29. I've owned 10 cars but I bought them all on the spot in cash. Never had a car payment. Never got a loan. Never got a credit card & never financed anything. Whenever I wanted something bad enough I would save up & buy it fully because I don't wanna pay double the price just because of interest.
I do live paycheck to paycheck though since I have no savings either. This all makes me think it's about time I get started planning financially for my future

Zero debt. Close to $2M in assets (mostly the house) $100K in cash or investments and $60K PA indexed income. I would call that "comfortable"😷

actually few americans have a million dollar investment portfolio.
🤣...actually, few Americans have less than $8,000 in credit card debt which they carry forward from month to month, while only ever paying the minimum monthly payable in interest!
That's precisely why the USA is $37Trillion in National Debt today, because the American culture is all about living rich on borrowed money.
