I made an awesome score at the food pantry yesterday, picking up food for my neighbors! LOTS of nice fresh fruit and veggies. My food score, (thanks be to God), filled TWO grocery carts with a couple of bags of overflow.

I tell you, that helping your neighbors who are less fortunate is the absolute BEST way to make yourself feel good.

I still have the energy to go to work despite everything. I'm anxious and scared, but I need to get motivated to keep going. Coffee tastes good today. ☺️

I finally got to our garden and could pick some fresh strawberries. They grow between lavender and other savory plants so they kind of adopt that flavour too. I hear thunders but it's still sunny and the birds are singing all around.

My brother-in-law is rebuilding our kitchen to make it usable for people under 5' tall. When he cleared out the overhead cupboards (beyond our reach) he found three packets of chocolate digestives which are (just about) within their use by date 🙂

@Donotfolowme I understand that. My birthday is in the middle of November. My dad always said that it was to close to Christmas so I didn't need a birthday present. So growing up I would see my friends have birthday parties and get presents, but I never did. Twice my own parents even forgot my birthday. I definitely know what it feels like to be left out. ☹️
