New Years Resolution

After two decades, I am not quitting marijuana... I am completing a chapter.

This plant walked with me through survival...through silence. ... through seasons when numbing was the only language I knew.

It held space when I didn’t yet know how to hold myself. For that, I offer gratitude, not shame.

But growth has a way of asking harder questions. It asks us to let go not because something is evil, but because it has done its work.

What once soothed now softens my edges too much.... What once grounded me now keeps me tethered to an older version of myself.

So this New Year, I say goodbye with reverence..

I am burying a time capsule... memories, lessons, pain, laughter, coping, identity.... returning them to the earth that carried me while I learned how to stand. Fire will witness the release. Soil will hold the history. And I will walk forward lighter, clearer, and awake.

Spiritual growth isn’t about purity. Fuuuu'qu.. It’s about truth.

It’s about choosing presence over fog, breath over escape, courage over comfort.

I am not losing a plant.

I am meeting myself without it.

And that feels like the most honest resolution I’ve ever made.

I realize this is about weed - but what you've said can [and does] apply to so much more.

May your new path always lead you forward ✌
