What advice would you give to the younger generation ?

Try and understand that there's more to adult life than the information automatically thrown at you via social media.

Take an interest in the world beyond your front yard, and when you do, ask questions.
Just because one loud point of view is expressed it doesn't mean it's a fact. In all likelihood it's an opinion and whatever your age you have the right to question those who throw opinion at you.

Education is a mess pretty much everywhere in the western world. So again, question everything expressed to you as a fact.
Particularly when it comes to history and economics.
The views expressed to you favour those who require you to believe it.

All you get for taking someones shit is the opportunity to take more of their shit later.

The last few generations capitulated. They played ball and were good boys and girls and now conditions for average people are close to bad as they've ever been and getting worse every day.

Dig in your heels and stand up for something. Be smart about it of course. Learn valuable skills and bide your time until opportunities to strike meaningful blows present themselves.

But fight damn it. Fight. No one gets out of life alive anyhow. You are guaranteed to lose everything you try to hold onto through meakness. Least you could do is be strong and maybe make things better for the people who are growing up behind you.
