do you lose friends when you open up?

so I noticed I have this thing, which is when I open up to a friend, and tell them my problems, then it's the start of losing interest in them, and eventually losing the friendship .. anyone else like this?

I have. They'd always tell me that it was okay for me to open up but when I did, I was told to go seek a therapist because they couldn't fix me.. in reality, I wasn't looking for my friends to fix me, I just needed to vent.

Yes!.. Usually people tell me their problems when they're sad, and its like they change when I tell them mine.. I don't know, maybe it scares them? lol.

actually that's a reason i don't open up to anyone in the first place, but it can be a reason too I guess

yeah im the same in some ways. I tend to lose interest in ppl very quickly.

ppl either bore me, they have nothing to offer as far as entertaining me, amusing me or they have to much baggage. I dont like ppl with baggage. u know whining all the time. well unless of course their baggage amuses me.

Edit: I should've been more clear in my question ... In my case, once I open up, I'm the one who lose the interest, not them

Well, it would get stronger if it was a real relationship. I've never had this problem, so I can't say, but I think it wouldn't fall apart if it was true.
