do you lose friends when you open up?

so I noticed I have this thing, which is when I open up to a friend, and tell them my problems, then it's the start of losing interest in them, and eventually losing the friendship .. anyone else like this?

Yes!.. Usually people tell me their problems when they're sad, and its like they change when I tell them mine.. I don't know, maybe it scares them? lol.

yea it sucks to be this way, I'm sorry for that
actually it's the other way around in my case, I always listen to their problems and help them, but on the other hand, I'm the one who loses interest (or gradually step away) once I tell them my problems

lol yes, and yes it is strange, and honestly I have no idea either, just noticed this lately

...maybe you're scared they'll end up knowing too much about you? So you try to keep a distance? :)

actually that's a reason i don't open up to anyone in the first place, but it can be a reason too I guess
