do you lose friends when you open up?

so I noticed I have this thing, which is when I open up to a friend, and tell them my problems, then it's the start of losing interest in them, and eventually losing the friendship .. anyone else like this?

I have. They'd always tell me that it was okay for me to open up but when I did, I was told to go seek a therapist because they couldn't fix me.. in reality, I wasn't looking for my friends to fix me, I just needed to vent.

I'm sorry your friends treated you that way .. but that's not what I actually meant :) .. my friends would always ask me to open, but when I do, i'm the one who sets myself apart
