We should not have the death penalty though if it was someone close to me that was the victim I would feel different. But we can't ignore that we have made mistakes and put people to death who were innocent, don't know how many but there have been a few proven to be and many more believed to be.

I don’t believe it should exist because there are too many mistakes made in prosecutions. Besides I am pro-life all the way and consistent with my view.

No I don't believe in it. Yet I don't believe in life imprisonment should be less than life imprisonment.
The only time life imprisonment should be lessened is if that person has been found innocent.
This last has been shown to many times. Too many have years later been found innocent.
No nonguilty life should be taken. That's zero percent! There is no definite way to determine guilt for the death penalty. Because death is final.

Yes, I believe it has it's place .. though perhaps used beyond that more than it should be.

Death penalty is sort of irreversible, isn't it?
"Oh – he was innocent? Tough luck, so sorry!"
