Poacher turned gamekeeper

As part of her vocational course in health and nutrition, our daughter is helping her PE teachers to deliver weekly lessons in some of her school's feeder primaries. The idea is to introduce the older children to their likely next school and give my daughter and her classmates some experience of sports coaching.

My daughter doesn't tell me much, but I know from reports that all is going well. On Wednesday she was doing gymnastics with a class that included one of my younger nieces.

I asked my niece today if she enjoyed her lesson. My niece, who is still quite a timid little soul, regards her big cousin with a mixture of reverence and mild terror. After I had reassured her that my daughter will definitely not be teaching her next year, she confided that she and the other girls thought M was a really cool coach but quite bossy 😁

"She was talking to us really LOUDLY. She said there was NO WAY that we could do GYMNASTICS and CHAT at the same time. But I KNOW that can't be right because SHE'S ALWAYS TALKING at gymnastics club and she still gets medals! 🤣🤣🤣

I think some of the intended message may have been lost on this audience 😊
