I'm still getting to grips with the practical side of parenting . .

Everything was going a bit too well yesterday afternoon. My daughter had all her homework up to date and packed in her schoolbag. Clean PE kit ready to go. School uniform ironed. Packed lunch prepared and waiting in the fridge.

So what essential piece of advice did this complacent parent fail to impart to her darling daughter prior to setting out for school? Oh yes . . don't make a stupid bet with your equally bonkers best friend that you can throw your shoes clean over the roof of the geography department 🙄🤷‍♀️😔 Because you clearly haven't done the maths and it was almost inevitable that it was going to get stuck on the roof, causing major inconvenience to the school caretaker and to your long suffering mother who now has to come into school for yet another "discussion" about your "exuberant behaviour" 🤦‍♀️

Making mistakes is how you learn about life... That little incident will save her from a bigger one later

@Convivial Although occasionally annoying and imconvenient, I hope she never completely loses her mischievous sense of fun 🤗

@SunshineGirl i agree.... It's part of her testing life and herself 🤗

What a funny thing to do. I have never ever thought that it would work?😏
SunshineGirl · 36-40, F
@SW-User Yep, she keeps us on our toes 🙄

@SunshineGirl I hope you don’t was to hard on her.

@SW-User They got detention on Thursday lunchtime and had to help pick up litter, so she missed her dance class. All forgiven now though 🙂

As a great grandfather it makes me glad that I was never a 'long suffering mother'. Perhaps throwing practice nights are in order?

Yeah, the clear thinking part doesn't necessarily keep up with everything else. 😅

@SunshineGirl I know you do. That's apparent. You are such a good mom.

Lesson learned lol

They should have left it up there and if she wanted new shoes she would have to wash dishes for a month.
SunshineGirl · 36-40, F
@JoyfulSilence That's a lot of dishes . .

@onewithshoes No, then she'll go feral and get adopted by wolves 😞

@onewithshoes You obviously don't have kids. 😅
