I'm still getting to grips with the practical side of parenting . .

Everything was going a bit too well yesterday afternoon. My daughter had all her homework up to date and packed in her schoolbag. Clean PE kit ready to go. School uniform ironed. Packed lunch prepared and waiting in the fridge.

So what essential piece of advice did this complacent parent fail to impart to her darling daughter prior to setting out for school? Oh yes . . don't make a stupid bet with your equally bonkers best friend that you can throw your shoes clean over the roof of the geography department 🙄🤷‍♀️😔 Because you clearly haven't done the maths and it was almost inevitable that it was going to get stuck on the roof, causing major inconvenience to the school caretaker and to your long suffering mother who now has to come into school for yet another "discussion" about your "exuberant behaviour" 🤦‍♀️
