Yes I had to do PE barefoot all through secondary school.
The white tennis shoes/ plimsolls we had to wear gave me blisters on my heels a few times and in one class it bled so after getting cleaned up the teacher told me to take off my socks and footwear and do the PE class barefooted and as I managed okay she told me just to do the PE and drama classes barefoot from then on.
