Did anybody else not go to prom? 😅

I didn't go. Everyone harassed me about it, but I'm glad I refused. I hate loud music, dancing, and conversation, and I was way too dysfunctional to consider accompanying a special someone (or even a regular someone).

Neva went. DO I wish I did? No. Just wish there was an adult version of prom. 😌

I didn’t, I was in a really bad place in grade 12, took everything I had just to graduate let alone go to the prom, I regret not going though. 🙁

I went to 3 proms. Gotta say, it was fun getting all dressed up, but not all that important in retrospect.

My school tried to have a segregated prom😭 but thats not why i didnt go. I just didnt care about prom.

I was banned from mine....something to do with ditching to go surfing too much and a small, teeny-tiny accident that combined my truck and the JR ROTC building, but in my defense, the steering column did snap and I couldn't stop in time.

That being said, I went to my gf's. She was at another school so we did hers and it was fantastic. Had a great dinner with friends at a fantastic restaurant, then drove to the venue for the dance. Was there for hours having a great time, it was '81 and there were so many great songs to dance to, then went to her gf's house for an after party where the parents were gone for the weekend. She slept in my arms for the first time that night and that was it. Woke up with her looking at me with a smile.

Ehh it was alright and all but not as big or special as everyone makes it out to be. I just went because my family wanted me to 😬

Never went to a high school formal, and I've never been to any high school re-unions. I did yr 12 (last year of Australian high school) in 1986. Partly because I don't have any romantic/intimate partner and partly because I hated being social even back then. I never dated until my mid-20's so there's no way I could have gone to the yr12 formal do as I would just have engaged 'fight or flight' mode and escaped via any means possible..

I went alone. And sat alone. Watched everyone do their thing. Then went home.

I did not go .. I was even asked by a cute friend of mine and I was too shallow at the time.. prolly why I didn’t get laid until I was 20 lol

I never went. The few kids I actually liked weren't going, so I really didn't want to. Plus, I didn't have a girlfriend. So just no incentive to go whatsoever.

Just kinda drifted apart from my friends by that point due to my social anxiety and it just felt like too much for me and pointless at the time
I do regret it tho

A friend asked me to go with her and I said no.

I went to prom cause i was running for prom queen (and won) so sorta had to go.

I went to one dance. My junior year homecoming. Worst night of my life up to that point. No proms.

I went to my junior prom. But by senior year I was going out with an Italian boy and the dean of students asked us not to attend prom together (“it would make the parents uncomfortable”). Ironic, because neither of our parents had a problem with it. So we didn’t go, but several friends also boycotted the prom and threw a house party that we attended instead.

I wasn’t allowed to all because my outfit wasn’t an prom dress. Everyone got invited expect for me

On year went,one year not. Not year was way more fun😈😈. Straight to hotel versus boring party then hotel.

No such thing as "Prom" when I left school...

Would I have gone if there was??? Nah... too much pain and misery associated with that place for me...
