Is romance still a thing with men? Is romance dead?

Slow- Dancing on the porch, driving out to the see the stars, love letters, does anyone men or women alike still care about romance?
ChampagneOnIce · 51-55, F
Romance isn't dead, but like with any relationship, it depends on the people involved. My husband and I danced around the kitchen just yesterday. It's hard to remember romance in the everyday of living and working, but every once in a while we find a spark of it.
Romance never dies…. I know there are men who are romantic by nature….

Romance to me is not about flowers and the like ,romance starts in the heart and ends in the soul
It the wink 😉 that smile that catches you unaware ,the embrace that says "I love you" ,the dance in the kitchen the kiss that lingers longer than normal so yes I am one for romance and one for keeping it alive we treat one another as how we would like to be treated ,with love kindness and respect .

I think it is just an intimate moment between two lovely individuals.

It could as simple as it could be.

Even silence , staring at the sky or sitting on the bonnet of a vehicle and having a drink or an ice cream.

We have become so busy with lives and social media that we are neglecting one to one conversations.

Right person , right weather and right time. Now that’s the key here.

Sounds beautiful..but finding that anywhere in the black country is impossible...we are lucky to get a bag of chips on date night 😏🤣

Me, a few months ago...

"Set Me Free"

I'm starving myself from romance. Between all that's going on in my world, I can't grasp even the thought of it. I find myself bound by the endless times and troubles of today, consuming me and chasing away my tomorrows. Work schedules. Family goings on. Drama from every nook and cranny seems to seep in between the cracks of my fingers.
I chase away the thoughts of long, slow, deep, soft, wet kisses that last three days.

I'm dying here, and I need to be rescued.
Take away my whiskey and cigarettes. Replace them with deep soulful conversations. Let me gaze into your soft brown eyes and contemplate orgasmic beginnings with no end. Sunsets turn into sunrises with no sleep in-between, only the pleasure of your company, your laughter, your tears from your deepest secrets and I chase away our demons with intense love and passionate touch.

I need this. I crave it more than any liquid or smokey drug. Become my catalysts and guide me to new beginnings. I shall remove the chains and ropes that bind me, and break down the walls I've built up as of late.
Set free the love that I've kept hidden underneath the cloak of safety. I'm done with the status quo and the comfort of nothingness. Set me free.

-Kelly. ✍️🤗🥰😎

@Montanaman This is beautiful... thank you 🤗

@Lilymoon Thank you 😊 🤗💞
Love that stuff. The simple things are the best. Holding hands, just being next to each other and taking about nothing between little kisses, head on a should with an arm around her.

My list of "to dos"
Depends on the person. Neither men nor women are a monolith.

We are a dying breed.

My hubby's very romantic. He's more emotional and sentimental than I am, tbh 🤗
Mydodsky2 · M
@Fluffybull nice good to know that not all of us are shit heads

I love stuff like that but have not had much if any chance to ever do that. And being single for 5+ yrs doesn't help. These days it's all about the 666 rule and the 10 percent rule. An interesting side-effect.... On dating sites every time you write an introductory message to someone it often feels like you're trying to write the introduction to a mills and boon type book. 8-) Yet you know in 1/10 th of cases your messages never even get read.
awhitedot · 46-50, M
Some do. I actually wrote several love letters earlier this year.
calicuz · 51-55, M
I'm only romantic when it's accidental, I never start off that way.
Roadsterrider · 56-60, M
I think it is on it's last legs in today's hook up culture.
TheStarsareout · 56-60, M
Sounds like something out of an old film
wonkywinky · 51-55, M
Again,the modern world.
Its all about "dating",getting as many "dates"as you can, without even rally meaning to settle.
People these days seem to prefer living alone.
Lilymoon · F
Romance is dying unfortunately .... but it's nice when it happens. 💙
zonavar68 · 51-55, M
@Lilymoon The insta-culture effect I'd suggest
Katypt22 · 46-50, F

None that I've met 🤷🏻‍♀️
uncalled4 · 51-55, M
Just took my gf to her favorite restaurant , which is expensive and 90 mins away from where we live. We're busy, but we never stop "dating", 12 years into our relationship.
Bri89 · 31-35, M
I wouldn't mind that, but I don't have anyone to do that with.
I don't mind being chivalrous, the rewards are great
Mydodsky2 · M
IT’s there we have it in side us or most of us do

I do, but not when women tend to analyze it to death. That kinda kills the mood, which is probably their intent.

@RogueLoner you over looking I think
RogueLoner · M
@Mydodsky2 I'm not "looking" at all, and my comment was not intended for men, simps, white knights, or LGBTQ to think about.
Mydodsky2 · M
@RogueLoner not what it ment did it go over your head ? You said women over do it sometimes no we mite not get it sometimes as men is that clear for you
