Convenient and practical use of space. 馃槅

I did look at a flat in London once, that had the bath in the kitchen. The kitchen table lifted up to allow use of the bath. I didn't take it.

@newjaninev2 Well it was Ealing Broadway, so maybe a couple of million now. 馃ぃ

@Lugubri0 Combining two 'wet rooms' makes very efficient use of the plumbing 馃檪 My grandparents' house in Poland in the 1980s didn't have a proper indoor bathroom. My mother has a photo of me and my sisters being bathed in the kitchen sink 馃槵

@SunshineGirl I remember getting bathed in the kitchen sink when I was little. My grans house didn't have a bathroom or an inside toilet. The toilet was at the end of the yard and was very cosy in winter, with a paraffin lamp to see by. The bath, was a tin tub infront of the fire. My gran lived there till the late 70s.

[quote]Priced at $US725,000 ($A965,000), the four-bedroom property could also almost be perceived as good value too, especially considering the skyrocketing prices for houses in Hawaii these days.

I once bought a house that had a bath in the kitchen below a lift up worktop 馃槀馃槀馃檪
ozgirl51226-30, F
@Dlrannie bathrooms in England were a late thought lol
Dlrannie31-35, F
@ozgirl512 Well the house was built in the 1880鈥檚 and the bath in the kitchen was a modernisation 馃槀馃槀馃槀
ozgirl51226-30, F
@Dlrannie excusable lol... It's what the real estate agent meant when they said original features馃槣

That's not great design 馃槙 Some older houses in the UK have bathrooms leading off from the kitchen . . a sort of evolutionary phase when facilities were brought in from the bottom of the garden.
ozgirl51226-30, F
@SunshineGirl i think this probably breaks every design rules plus a hot of local regulations lol
SunshineGirl36-40, F
@ozgirl512 Can't imagine what they were thinking of. It's quite an attractive modern kitchen apart from the toilet at one end!
ozgirl51226-30, F
@SunshineGirl i think the answer is "not a lot" 馃ぃ
Stereoguy56-60, M
Is this an efficiency apartment ?
ozgirl51226-30, F
