Convenient and practical use of space. 馃槅

I did look at a flat in London once, that had the bath in the kitchen. The kitchen table lifted up to allow use of the bath. I didn't take it.

@SW-User In present-day London, that would be worth close to a million pounds, yes?

@newjaninev2 Well it was Ealing Broadway, so maybe a couple of million now. 馃ぃ

@SW-User Combining two 'wet rooms' makes very efficient use of the plumbing 馃檪 My grandparents' house in Poland in the 1980s didn't have a proper indoor bathroom. My mother has a photo of me and my sisters being bathed in the kitchen sink 馃槵

@SunshineGirl I remember getting bathed in the kitchen sink when I was little. My grans house didn't have a bathroom or an inside toilet. The toilet was at the end of the yard and was very cosy in winter, with a paraffin lamp to see by. The bath, was a tin tub infront of the fire. My gran lived there till the late 70s.
